LABOR DAY

The Labor Day at the Hotel Lucrezia Borgia

The First of May is a very important holiday in almost the whole world: the Workers' Day. A festival set up again in Italy in 1947, which aims to commemorate the first day of a great general protest in the United States, which began on May 1, 1886, then repressed in blood four days later.

The workers were protesting to obtain a reduction in working hours to eight hours a day. Before, in fact, people worked up to sixteen hours a day, in very bad conditions, which severely damaged both the physical and mental health of the workers. Thanks to these protests and to the numerous others in the rest of the world, the Workers' Day was established in France for the first time, on 20 July 1889. From its position, then followed that of many other countries. From the American continent, to the European one to the Asian one.

So the First of May is not just any holiday, it is a celebration full of meaning, steeped in symbolism and struggles for rights. And on this day it is important to always remember to be grateful for what you have, and to always commit yourself to humanity and the planet, because the achievements of the past are our rights today, and the achievements of today will be the rights of the future.

Given how important this day is, we at the Hotel Lucrezia Borgia would like to wish with our hearts a wonderful labor and workers' day to all the workers we host every week, new and historic, workers on business trip, workers on vacation!

We can't wait to continue to know you and make you feel at home as only we know how to do. The large family of the Hotel Lucrezia Borgia awaits you in large numbers to celebrate May 1st together, but also during the rest of the year, to give that extra touch to your working days away from home, and to the days of escape in search of relaxation and tranquility.
